Richard Hajj is the son of a craftsman and jeweller. Following in his father’s steps, Richard graduated in fine woodworking from the Institut des métiers d’art du Québec. Fascinated by the creation of jewellery, Richard loves to blend elegantly a rich variety of materials such as local or exotic woods, silver, aluminum and acrylic glass. His designs integrate simple geometric shapes, clean lines and crisp colours which transform his contemporary jewellery into magnificent miniature sculptures.
All the pieces in his collections are handcrafted separately. The technical constaints that arise during the assembly of the different materials leads to design solutions that add a subtle and unique touch to the final artwork.
Every year in December, Richard Hajj participates at Montreal’s famous fine craft fair: Le Salon des métiers d’art de Montréal.
