Mélanie Laplante, Quebec glass artist and jeweler behind the MÉLA brand, shapes each piece of her Aurélia collection with passion and meticulousness. Inspired by texture and form, she first sculpts her creations in wax, giving them an organic, almost living dimension. Once cast in sterling silver, these works come to life.
It was on presenting them for the first time that Mélanie heard the first murmurs: "They look like sea creatures... seaweed... jellyfish...". Spectacular and timeless, the Tierra adjustable ring is handcrafted in oxidized 925 silver and adorned with small golden pearls.
Created and crafted by Montreal jeweler Isabelle Kapsaskis, this ring features a silver plate fused with silver dust, then forged to give it its unique shape. The small golden pearls are made of 14-carat yellow gold-plated sterling silver.
