The Aurélia vermeille ring is a creation of Montreal glass artist Mélanie Laplante for her MÉLA line.
Set with a transparent glass bead with dazzling reflections, the spiral band makes it easy to adjust the size of the ring.
Mélanie Laplante, Quebec glass artist and jeweler behind the MÉLA brand, shapes each piece of her Aurélia collection with passion and meticulousness. Inspired by texture and form, she first sculpts her creations in wax, giving them an organic, almost living dimension. Once cast in sterling silver, these works come to life.
It was upon presenting them for the first time that Mélanie heard the first murmurs: "They look like sea creatures... seaweed... jellyfish...". Intrigued by these unexpected similarities, she let herself be inspired and named her collection Aurélia, in homage to the jellyfish of the Saint-Laurent estuary. Artist Sa Boothroyd's dishcloths are designed and hand-printed in small batches in an artisanal workshop in Gibsons, British Columbia. The artist paints the designs for the prints herself.

Located in one of the most popular and beautiful neighborhoods of Montreal, Fabre Street enchants us with its beauty and its typical wrought iron stairs. This architectural curiosity was born from a municipal law requiring a green space in front of buildings. The promoters had the idea in the 19th century to recover the lost space by placing the stairs outside!
Renée Bovet, a Montreal artist and memberof Empreinte coopérative since 1988, was awarded the Prix du public du Salon des métiers d'art du Québec. Her work is part of major private collections in Quebec.
