Renée Bovet has been painting on silk for over 25 years. She was born in and continues to call Montreal home.
Today, with a perfect mastery of her art, she paints works filled with joy and vivacity that have attracted art lovers from the very beginning.
Her clean and precise lines and warm and vibrant colours give her paintings a rare intensity. Colour has always been a determining element in her work and is at the heart of her approach.
His works are sold in Canada and the United States, and are enjoyed by many collectors around the world.

I paint on silk with liquid dyes designed exclusively for silk.
I chose silk for its finesse, transparency, brilliance and softness of gradation.
From my originals on silk, I produce reproductions on paper, giclees on canvas and acrylics, making my paintings accessible to all.
As an artisan, what do you gain from being part of l'Empreinte cooperative?L'Empreinte has played an important role in promoting fine crafts in Montreal since 1974. I'm proud to be part of the chain of all the fine people who have made it shine for all these years. It all started with the idea of a few designers back in the day, and many craftspeople have passed the torch on ever since.
