Renée Bovet, a Montreal artist and memberof Empreinte coopérative since 1988, was awarded the Prix du public du Salon des métiers d'art du Québec. Her works are part of major private collections in Quebec.

Montreal and its exterior wrought iron stairs. This architectural curiosity came about as a result of a 19th century municipal law requiring green space in front of buildings. This led to a reduction in the interior space of a building. To compensate for this lost space, staircases were placed outside!
