This creation by Montreal jeweler Lidia Raymond is part of the Inspiring Collection. With this collection, Lidia wants to pay tribute to great women from Quebec who have had a positive influence in their community and society.

The Madeleine earrings are a tribute to Madeleine Parent. A trade unionist and feminist, she was involved in the organization of workers at Dominion Textile in the 1940s. In the 1980s, she was still an activist for women's, native and immigrant rights.

Set with a transparent glass bead with dazzling reflections, the spiral band makes it easy to adjust the size of the ring.

Mélanie Laplante, Quebec glass artist and jeweler behind the MÉLA brand, shapes each piece of her Aurélia collection with passion and meticulousness. Inspired by texture and form, she first sculpts her creations in wax, giving them an organic, almost living dimension. Once cast in sterling silver, these works come to life.

It was upon presenting them for the first time that Mélanie heard the first murmurs: "They look like sea creatures... seaweed... jellyfish...". Intrigued by these unexpected similarities, she let herself be inspired and named her collection Aurélia, in homage to the jellyfish of the Saint-Laurent estuary. A contemporary pendant inspired by the modernism movement (Mid Century) in sterling silver and colored cement, with brass inserts. This necklace is handcrafted in Montreal by internationally renowned jeweler Sylvie Lupien.

Set it off with the colorful mosaic earrings from the same collection.

In 1998, Sylvie was awarded the Prix Jean-Marie Gauvreau for her body of work. Her creations have been exhibited several times in New York and Chicago as part of the prestigious SOFA (Sculpture Objects and Functional Art) events.

In spring 2023, one of his works was featured in the exhibition Parrall(elles): Another History of Design at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.
